AWF Quick Updates AWF RESOLUTION has been posted here ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Insanity: Ladies and gentlemen have I got news for you or what!? Sunday after Resolution went off the air I was invited into the Office of The Boss. He first begged me to excuse him for the mess his face was in after the nasty shot packed with brass from Ripper in his match earlier that night. After that he asked me to sit down. He told me that what he was about to say was the biggest piece of news since the Epic announcement that the American Wrestling Federation was open for business.
Coming off the heels of not only one of the most massive Pay Per Views in the history of wrestling but quite possibly the best single Wrestling match of all time in the Resolution Rumble, Tommy said that he had something to tell the world that would blow people away. "Insanity" Tommy said, "is going to be more than just a state of mind."
While I didn't get too much information about "Insanity" I did find out that The Fox Network would be involved. Tommy says that there will be millions of dollars thrown into the production, and that it will go down as one of if not THE premier wrestling program of all time. More details will come on Monday when Tommy says he will unveil it all. Tune in!. Reggie Crow - Prow Wrestling Press - Jan. 28 2010 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twista XL Wins The Rumble: The American Wrestling Federation held its first anual Resolution Rumble Sunday and what an event it was. An event that was scheduled to involve 30 men and women the Rumble had only one hitch. Savage who started out the match was able to last through almost until the very end.
But when all was said and done the man standing tall was none other than American Wrestling Federation newcomer Twista XL.
Twista was somehow able to withstand over an hour of brutal and, excuse the pun, savage attacks. At the end, after smashing a light bulb against Cyren's cranium, bringing blood to the surface Twista's hand was raised high in the air.
This Monday Night on Madness Twista will face all the champions in the middle of the ring, he will pick the title that he will take a shot at come Love Hurts. Twista will also be facing The One, The Only.. Savage on that very same show. Reggie Crow - Prow Wrestling Press - Jan. 28 2010 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Colin Bale's Shot: After defeating both Santa Claus and Double J a couple weeks back on Madness in a number one contender's match one of the AWF's most interesting up and coming wrestlers Colin Bale has earned a shot at his first AWF Gold..
Bale has had his hands full with The Lone Wolf for most of the last month. Coming off what some would call an upset of a defeat Collin is dead set on making an impact that will overshaddow the shortcoming.
Late Monday night after Resoltion came to a close Bale was rumored to have been seen backstage at the Silverdome. From what my sources have said he was in Tommy Bishop's office, demanding his promised North American Title Shot at this upcoming Madness.
Ryan Magnus has been quoted as saying he feels like he has a target on his chest, and he likes it. Well Colin Bale has had great aim thus far, and Magnus should be prepared to put up the bulletproof glass because this one could go either way people. Reggie Crow - Prow Wrestling Press - Jan. 28 2010 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Savage is a !!!BEAST!!!: After the untimely demise of AWF long timer TQ Smooth at the hands of The One and Only Savage papers around the globe had talks of charges being pressed against him. It was only after two long weeks of negotiations between Tommy Bishop's lawyers and the US Federal Buero of Investigations that all notions of charges were answered with a profattic no.
After the Resolution Rumble however the Feds have been reconsiddering the speed with which they gave in to the powerful AWF legal team. The numbers are in and sadly 3 people lost their lives to the rumble, and more specifically to the One and Only..
When asked about the match and the supposed, "blood on his hands" Savage was quoted as saying, "It is what it is." This of course is applorable, but The Boss continues to support the AWF wrestler in that any and all action that may take place inside the ring is covered under the wellness contract. All AWF wrestlers must sign it, saying that they take responsabillity for what happens inside the ring.
This situation is definitely important, so we might just need to keep an eye on it. stay tuned!
Reggie Crow - Prow Wrestling Press - Jan. 28 2010 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mystery Challenge?!: We don't have much information on this subject, but from what we have seen of the upcoming Monday Night Madness Card it looks as though a Mystery competitor has been added to it. Suspect by their absense are many people that have fingers pointed at them right now.
Who will this Mystery Man be? Could it be the returning former World Champion? Could it be the Universal Champion who is suspisiously not on the card? We haven't found too many people willing to talk about who the man with the question mark on his face is, but if you ask me I'm betting on Hunter Zero, that little rice burner. He's out there... and where ever he is he's running away from the vengfull beatdown he will recieve for that black eye he gave me 6 months back. Reggie Crow - Prow Wrestling Press - Jan. 13 2010 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Boss Beats Ripper!?: Many people were proven wrong Sunday night at Resolution in Detroit when The Boss nearly broke The Man Known As Ripper's foot off at the ankle. Tommy had promised earlier in the week that he would own Ripper come Sunday, in more way than one. Telling the young man that he will suffer for his insolence, and learn from his arrogance. Ripper was white hot with anger as the medics shoved him into the ambulance and carted him off to the hospital just down the street from the Silverdome. Ripper said that he would have his revenge.. He won't have it this week though, or possibly any time soon for that matter. Ripper was diagnosed as having two torn ligaments in his left ankle. According to doctors he has only 60% use of the limb. As of yet no plans are scheduled for Ripper to have even left Detroit come this Monday and Madness in Florida, but I wouldn't count him out just yet.
